Spotlight: Humble Design
Since 2009, Humble Design has helped and inspired recently homeless families who often find they don’t have the means to furnish their new places once they find a place to call their own. Using donated furniture and goods stored in their own warehouses, Humble Design meets with each family to curate and design a space to suit the family’s tastes and needs. By creating spaces that families love they foster a sense of hope, pride and determination to maintain their home.
Humble Design creates sustained hope and change for at risk families
The love and care this organization put into personally transforming lives has lasting effects. Only 1% of all families they have helped have gone back to homelessness as opposed to the average rate of 50%.
We applaud this amazing organization and are grateful to Norma of Community Health Group for choosing to donate to their San Diego branch through the Glad To Be Here Foundation. Together we were able to help Vanessa and her family set up a home that they now love.
