We are truly inspired by this celebration of diversity and ingenuity by a huge corporation which focuses on female inventors and game-changers.

Since 2012, Toyota’s Mothers of Invention program has awarded a total of $650,000 in grants to 13 remarkable women who are using innovation, entrepreneurship and invention to make a difference in their communities and around the world. Collectively, the first 10 honorees have affected more than 160 million lives in 155 countries — and they are just getting started.

From finding ways to connect people with healthcare providers through a click on their cellphones to colorful shelters for people without homes, these inventors not only provide a solution for the people they are passionate about helping, but they understand their needs and the humanity behind each of their plights. This understanding and purpose fueled by genius and imagination combine to make inspirational change in the world. After all, being a part of a global community not only inspires us, it excites us!
